Television and Home Theater

I have a 65" Sony rear projection unit.  About 5 years old.  Perfect condition.

 My problem is that I need to relocate it downstairs, and the unit is a bit too large to go down the stairs and through the door opening at the same time.

Like many others on this forum, I too had the blinking light issue.  I have done the repairs mentioned in Larry's guide, but no luck.  So I had a TV shop look at it for others issues.  The diagnosis given by the shop was to have the DM-Board sent to Mitsubishi for repairs at a cost of around 600 for total repairs.

I'm not sure if I want to spend that kind of money for repairs.  Wanted to see if there were other repair options or other companies that work on DM-Boards.
