I have a 65" Sony rear projection unit. About 5 years old. Perfect condition.
My problem is that I need to relocate it downstairs, and the unit is a bit too large to go down the stairs and through the door opening at the same time.
With other units I've moved, I was able to separate the base from the screen, and move them as two separate pieces. It was simply a matter of removing some screws around the handles and base, and disconnecting a ribbon cable, and the unit was able to be separated. If I could do this with my Sony I would be in business.
Is there a way to do this? Or am I going to have to cut my door opening wider to make the move.

I do not have a clue without a model number. Most Sony 65" sets are NOT all the same. What is the model number?
The Model # is KP-65WS510.
