Television and Home Theater

After reading through all of the threads here related to the convergence issue, I decided to try and fix my TV's problem myself.  I have a Mitsubishi WS-55511 that developed a convergence problem last week.  Basically the colors were off, giving the 3D effect.  I ordered a couple of replacement ICs (STK393-110) and some pico fuses from Bluestar International Components.  I replaced the IC but not the pico fuses and resistors since they checked out ok with my DMM.  However, the TV is still out of whack and now has a "bowed" picture as well.  I am not a

Can anyone please explain, WHY this DM Module a continual problem for Mitsubishi....is this a clever marketing strategy to sell more.....Also why is it when you call a certified service company recommended by Mitsubishi on THEIR  WEB SITE......one will tell you it will cost a $1,000 and another will tell you ite will cost no more than $400.....

 Sounds like Mitsubishi is not ethical in my opinion......3 sets in my office and all 3 have DM Module failures.....
