Television and Home Theater

So here is my dilema. I have zero idea of what I am doing. I have a old 27 inch tube tv.(note-they do not make tubes any more). Is it worth me fooling around trying to fix it. I have no idea of what I am doing let alone where to start. The sony got zapped by lightning and took its life so I could live another day. Should I try to save it or possibly send it to the junk yard or have someone who knows what they are doing try to revive it ?  Any help will be great here.  discboy321

I have a Samsung TXR2735X. At first it kept turning off every 15 minutes. As soon as it turned off you could turn it back on immediately and it would stay on for exactly another 15 minutes. Was told it could be IC801S (STRX6750). I took the chance and ordered a new one, just soldered it in and now as soon as you plug it in the relay keeps clicking on and off repeatedly so I unplugged it. Anyone know what this could be?

I have a 55P950217 about 5 years old.  The convergence chips were replaced 4 months ago but now another problem has come up.  It started with some distortion or static on the left speaker.  I found the speaker cable resting on one of the boards.  I routed it back to its correct position (I took pictures of the connections and wires before it was taken to the repair shop).  A few weeks later the other speaker starting doing the same thing but I could not find a cause so the speaker was just disconnected.  Now th
