Television and Home Theater

Larry, You seem to be the goto man for a service manual.  I have a Sony KP-57SW510, when you turn it on it tries to start then the stand by light blinks 8 times. Is there a consensus as to what this means on this model? Larry if you could email me  the service manual that would help. I would still like to know what you think the error code means.

I got a almost new 37" LCD Vizio off a co worker of mine, his nephew accidently hit it with a toy and the power will turn on, but no picture will show.

 I talked him into selling it to me cheap since he wants a bigger one anyway. Hes had it only a few months so its practically new. Called a few TV Repair shops and they said sounds like a power supply issue but I'm a huge fan of technical forums like this so I thought I would ask the real experts.... What do you think? Thanks

I'm having a convergence issue similiar to others have had on here but slightly different.  When I first turn on my TV, it appears to be in focus then within a couple of minutes the red and blue guns appear to shift out of alignment.  I can use the auto focus feature and most of the time it fixes it.  Sometimes it requires multiple attempts to fix.  Even when I fix it with the auto focus feature, it will go out of alignment within a few seconds to sometimes a few minutes.
