Television and Home Theater

HI GUYS I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD LEAD ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION TO HELP ME SOLVE MY PROBLEM I WAS WATCHING MY TV AND A THICK WHITE LINE APPEARED THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF MY SCREEN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM THE PITCHER WAS STILL ON BEHIND THE WHITE LINE FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS THEN THE SCREEN FADED TO BLACK THERE IS A SLIGHT GHOST IMAGE THAT FLICKERS ON ONCE IN A WHILE BUT THE SOUND IS UNEFFECTED , I DID SOME CHECKING AND I FEEL IT MIGHT BE THE Y SUSTAIN BOARD BUT IM REALLY NOT SURE. PLEASE HELP. BUBBA

I have a panasonic PT 51DX80A and as of yesterday it started showing a blue and yellow/green arch on the bottom of the screen. It starts from the left and goes up about 1/3 of the screen's height and then has a long slope down toward the right hand bottom corner. Also there is some bowing of blue color at the top of the screen. The TV was made in 2000 used for a year or so, then sat unused until 2005 when it was given to us by a relative. No complaints except for a couple of spider webs behind the diplay.

My cable remote and my OEM remote no longer function with the set. I can turn the tv on, change channels from the cabinet buttons but that’s about it.  When i choose the device menu it displays but will not switch from base antenna A.  The set is about 4.5 years old.
