Television and Home Theater

On power up i get ablue line (horizontal) and about two seconds later get red and blue lines oscillating horizontially.I have checked boards for loose soldered wires,fond one and resolderd but still have aproblem.Any ideas out there?

I purchased the Sony KP-51WS510 TV set back in Dec '03 and have had great performance with it ever since.... that is until two weeks ago.

I came home from work, laid down on the couch and powered on the TV. After a few minutes, the TV started making these strange popping/clicking sounds which accompanied a picture flicker in sync. Puzzled I went over to the TV to investigate, thinking maybe a mouse or something gnawed on the power cord or something silly.

I have the tv listed above for the last 5 years and for the last 5 days I have had a problem of it shutting off on its own.  Mostly happens in the evenings, it will go black with sound, blinks 5 times (did it last night) and then shut off. also Last night it blinked 10 times after it shut off repeatedly,  paused then blinks again 10 times.
