Television and Home Theater

I have a Samsung HLP4663W DLP TV that just quit working. The front of the TV has three lights illuminated that suggest that the lamp may need replacing. I removed the lamp from the TV and noticed that the bulb is broken. I am not sure if this a "normal" failure mode for the lamp or not. Doing some searching on the web for a replacement lamp, I came across a few sites where others had similar problems and replaced the lamp, then found that the ballast board or the power board or both needed replacing.

I have a Toshiba 44NHM84 projection TV when you turn the tv on there is sound but no picture. The green light stays on it never blinks or goes to the red light so I think the bulb is good. Any suggestions?

I bought this 27" TV new from Walmart in dec 2011. I was playing my Xbox on it fine. I shut the Xbox off and went to watch tv but the tv has sound only now, no picture. I tried unplugging cables, tried a five minute unplug of the tv, even tried a 3 sec power button push to see if it was the radio only feature. I tried pushing the menu and input buttons but they do not appear on the blackish gray screen. I'm stumped, last resort is the one hour unplug for a "cold start". Zany ideas out there? Tv is only 3 weeks old
