I have a sylvania 6424tf TV with no sound , no picture and no power. I was told that it needed a small black box resistor in start up circuit but I have no number. If anyone could help I would be very greatful.
I have seen a lot of posts for the blinking green light of death on the WD-52525 Mitsubishi TV set, along with a number of possible fixes. I have yet to hear from anybody that has actually successfully fixed the problem. I have heard from a member that Mitsubishi says it is a problem with the Thermal Switch. I have heard overwhelmingly from tech experts that it has something to do with bad capacitors and they need to be changed. I have heard from members that changing the capacitors did not work, but techs still insist this is the likely problem.
I have the same problem as everybody else i think and would like to try replacing capcitors. Could somebody help with instructions on getting the boards out?
I have a Toshiba 32in colr tv and have had it for 7-8 years....this year it started to show staight lines only in the botom of the screen and this morning there is no more picture....I can only hear sound change channels...thats it.....I sometimes like to fix things myself.....does anyone know if this is an easy repair that I can do at home
We made a significant investment in what we thought was a good TV that would last us 8-10 years. We have a Toshiba plasma TV (42HXP95) that will be 3 years old the end of November. This week it developed a fine line (violet) on the right side of the screen that runs about half way down. The extended warranty is gone and the dealer was not very helpful. I cannot believe a $3,000 TV is bad in less then 3 years.
