Television and Home Theater

Hi there,

I've been searching the net for my problem & came across this website & I'd greatly appreciate any help/info I could get.  My TV has wavy lines in the picture & I wanted to see if you guys think a convergence board will help or anything else that may help.  The issue is worse sometimes, but never really goes away.  I've never worked on a TV, but I am pretty good building computers & have done some minor repairs on other electronics.  I found the manual for this TV in a thread on this forum & have it saved.

Hi,

 I just installed a HDTV converter box set at 1080i. When the screen is dark or black I can see horizontal white lines that dip at the ends of the screen. The shape of a frown. If I change the box setting to 480i, then there are less lines but they are still there.

KP-51WS510 with convergence problem.Tv has double pictures like ghost
problem.I just bought 2 STK392-560 convergence ic and changed it ,I
check those pico fuses too.everything is fine.But after I installed
those IC's the picture still same.Please help me on this any help will
be appreciated. Do I need to do anything else.I have service manual with me.my e-mail i.d is
