46GW948 Convergence + Hourglass + New IC + Fixed Joints = No Change :(

Hello everyone,

I have myself a 46GW948 that has had convergence issues for some time now, but I have never had the money to buy the replacement convergence IC until now.  After professionally fixing a dry solder joint and replacing the IC, I found absolutely NO difference in picture.  One odd thing:

-The Convergence IC does not get the even the slightest bit warmer, nor does the small heatsink

56" rear projection jvc tv problem

when my tv is turned off and turned back on, the picture is a green arc at the top and black on the rest of the screen. the green is rolling. if i turn the tv off and on a random number of times, it turns back to normal. leaving the tv off or on for some time makes no difference. any ideas on problem or fix? thanks for the help!

Sony KE32TS2U turns on and off

I know this is an older flat screen and it has worked perfectly up til now. I JUST had a wall mount installed in a built in cabinet that fits it perfectly at quite an expensive price! so of course 2 days later, a problem emerges

It has started to have the same problem to that in the "Sony Bravia KLV-40U100M Turns off and then back on while watching program" forum thread.

I will call for a repair but any thoughts on whether it is worth the cost of repair as compared to a new one? what is the likelihood that I'll find one just this size so I can use the same mount and niche?

Can someone please help me get sound (HDMI)

i have a pioneer vsx-1016txv, an hdtv (1080p), and two gaming systems. before i just ran the hdmi cords directly to the tv from the gaming systems and used an optical cable for the sound on each one. I was told that i can run my hdmi cables to the back of my stereo, then use another hdmi to go from the line out part of the stereo to the tv, and i was told that not only would i not need optical cords anymore but because the hdmi cables i have are so good it not only would give me sound but great sound, like 7.1 and everything. So, i did it, and i finally saw some results i saw video.

Sony Videoscope XBR (pre-2000)- Where can I find Model#?

Our Sony Videoscope XBR rear projection TV is now experiencing convergence problems.

It was in the house as a built-in when we purchased in 2000. .

Where can I find Model# on the FRONT of the set or, possibly, in the set's DIAGNOSTIC screens somewhere?

Thanks

WD-62530 turns off after 30 seconds or so....

I have two problems.  I know the lamp needs replaced, but I don't want to do that if I can't fix the other problem.  The TV turns on, I have audio and of course (bad lamp) no video.  Then at about 30 seconds the TV shuts off.

Any suggestions?  Do I need to replace the lamp first?  Is the lamp causing the TV to turn off?

I don't have a lamp light on at the front of the TV.
