Mitsubishi WD52525 has major problem - please help!

Hi, Larry:

 I have a Mitsubishi WD52525 DLP projector TV.  It is only used to watch movies in our basement home theatre, and if I had to guess, has less than 2000 hours on it.  We have had it for about 7 years.

The TV worked fine until a storm passed through town.  Since then everything works fine except for no sound.  The TV is not on mute, Mono nor Stereo works, External connections via RCA nor wired external speakers work.

 The  successful ways of getting sound is through the headphone jack in the front or from the cable through an amplifier.

 Any suggestions on how to fix?  I have the system apart and confirmed that the boards are seated.

Samsung HL-R5067W Picture quality issue

Hi All,

I am new to this so I will expain as best I can. I have a samsung HL-R5067W that is about 3 years old 

the picture is on the dark side and when a scene has shadows or subdued lighting then the color and the definition wash out, it is not a complete washout but in the shadowed areas the color is a dark split pear and all definiton is washed out.  happens on movies and Sat. Just got a PS3 and it occured with a blu ray disk.

Sony KP-51WS510 Possible Convergance issue??

Got a KP51WS510 and have noticed that the blue "channel" is ghosting pretty severely. Not sure if it would be considered a convergance issue as this doesn't seem to be able to be corrected through the Convergance function. Even when everything appears to be aligned properly there are still blue "streaks" that go off to the right of the displayed image. Any ideas??

Panasonic PT47wx42F Trouble

I just replaced the Convergence IC's on this set with a pair of Sanyo STK392-150s after getting the three led flash diagnostic.

Now, when I power the set up, I get a purplish screen with wavy lines for about a minute and the set powers off followed by one flash of the led.

 

What did I screw up? 

Can't get on screen menu? Crosley 55 in. Model 55CP40C104

I used the on screen menu on my set to switch picture sources to DVD, to watch some movies, when done viewing the DVD's ,the onscreen menu wouldnt come back on screen. So I followed the manual pictures to get it back. Can anyone help on what broke so I can get my menu back, and now the convergence is all screwed up also ! ???   Thanks  Jeff
