Television and Home Theater

I recently purchased a Phillips rear projection tv used. It is a bout 4 years old. I bought it from a photographer that had it in his store window. He had a dvd player hooked up to it and stored a square picture in the center of the screen and had it there for quite some time. Once I aquired the television, I have not been able to remove a shadow from the center of the screen from where he had the picture. Does anyoneone have any ideas on how to remove this shadow. Thanks.

Hi guys, ive spent a couple of hours looking around and have learned a lot already.

so far ive downloaded a service manual, tried to reset the Tv, pulled the rear panel to look for swollen caps, blown fuses etc..

after plugging in the Tv i get the 3 flashes on the led (meaning the microprocessor is working)

then after holding the input and menu buttons (at the same time) i get a code 12.

if i push the power button the led lights up, i hear a click inside the set then after 6-7 seconds
