Television and Home Theater

I'm having trouble finding the problem with this one. On power up power LED flashes, then I hear the CRT start. Audio is present. I get a momentary flash on the screen and then it stays dark and the protection circuit shuts it down.  Then I have flashing power light. I have the service manual. Wondering if this is likely to be a flyback problem or power supply? Any advice from anyone who has worked on this model or seen this issue before

This darn TV... I replaced the IC's with STK-392-150 (which are supposed to be better) & now my TV turns off after about 5 minutes; The IC's overheat.  I did cheap out & buy an off brand IC, & I am wondering if I should reorder & get SANYO.  Anyone have an opinion?  And yes I used heat compound. 

 Any thoughts are appreciated!
