Television and Home Theater

I purchashed a 32" Sony flatscreen WEGA from Circuit City. It is a nice unit except for a nagging problem. When there are black or darked colored scenes you can see thin red horizontal lines across the TV. They go from top to bottom and span the width of the screen. It is really quite distracting! Has anyone seen or heard of this problem? Any advice would be great!

I need help. my Video 1 and S-video pictures are fighting eachother which means i can not see any picture that is pluged into video 1, S-video, or video 2. all i have is a blue screen and sound that is coming from the sound system. I have tried unpluging the S-video but it does not help. I have even run the cable straight to the TV but that does not help. Any help out there? Thanks so much!

I can not activate the power on my 27" Hitachi television either by using the remote on/off or the on/off button on the set. Any suggetions???
Is my old friend finally calling it quits after these many years of faithful service. If so, is it worth the cost of repairs or is it time to replace this set with a latest state of the art big screen TV?????????
