Television and Home Theater

I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A SHARP TELEVISION THAT I AM TOLD WAS WORKING FINE.THERE IS NO MANUEL WITH IT AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TUNE IT IN.DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS.THANKS

Help Needed Urgently

I have a Philips FTR 9965 E-Box Receiver i have no problems with it if i use my Plasma Tv.

But i wish to connect it to a Overhead Projector and project an image onto a 9ft screen to watch the World Cup Football Via the Monitor Out Socket.
But on doing so as soon as i connect the projector to it the E-Box goes into a standby mode.

Does anybody know who i can rectify this problem please.

I have a Zenith portbale dvd player remote control that is really cool looking and I was wondering if there was a way to redirect it to my computer instead. Is there any way to replace parts of it with that of a PC remote or-better yet- anything that could be changed without also having the PC remote? Thanks for any suggestions. :=)
