Television and Home Theater

Hello , I have a GE, model 24GP653.Manf date Sept.2002. When you turn it on the screen is blue with a blur of red an green in it , No sound. I noticed on the large circuit board there is a resister # R471 , Cap #C471, an a diode # VD401A, the board is burnt at these 3 componets an the outer body of the diode appers cracked, Does any one know if I replaced these 3 items if that might take care of my problem ??? , or did something cause there items to fail ??? ,, Thanks in Advance

My tv seems to have entered into a service mode, with one inch high red letters across the centre of the screen.

I can use the tv as normal, but I have been unable to clear this "code" from my screen. Any ideas?

I have a Dell D600 Latitude laptop and am trying to watch a Div-X movie on my TV. I have used a brand new S-Video to Scart lead.

After having done all the settings required using the laptop Display settings, I get good sound quality when I play and also get picture - but picture remains black and white on the TV. However on the laptop, I can see it in colour. I have tried unplugging the scart lead and also restarting the laptopn and the TV.

Can anyone help please?
