Help Please

I recently bought a 26 inch Sylvania television. Once I got it connected to my Verizon Fios Cable box using the standard coax cable the picture quality wasn't that great. I then used the S-video and composite cable combination and the quality was a little better but nothing breathtaking.

Today I went and bought a component cable that also had red and white sound connector and connected that to my TV but come to find out that the Verizon Fios Cable box doesnt have component connectors nor a HDMI connector.

tv standby/timer

I have a 36" sony trinitron that just decided to turn off on me. The tv standby/timer but is now flashing and I can't get any picture or sound out of it. Has anybody else had this problem and if so do I need to repair or is this the equivalent to sleep mode.

1998 Sharp TV 27K-X2000

Hi, I push the power button on the Sharp 27k-x2000 TV, the rely clicks, the picture tube energizes for 3 to 5 seconds, then it shuts off automatically. The only way to repeat the process is to unplug the tv from 120 volts and plug it back in. Then I can push the power button to repeat the same process. Before this problem occurred there was a horizontal line across the top that took 2 minutes to disappear. I am trying to diagnose which component is bad, have tested quite a few.

Anyone with help?

RCA COLOR TRX PLUS 27 INCH

I have a RCA COLOR TRX PLUS 27 INCH coax cable/ANTENNA connection in the back of the Tv which needs to be jiggled so that the Tv comes on

can this be repaired by my self or should it be sent out, or is it worth being sent out

the tv is about 10 years old

Picture is getting bigger, edges have disappeared. No Service available.

I can't see the volume settings, the stock tickers, etc. anymore. The CBS eyeball logo is only 1/2 an eye. The picture has "bloomed" that much, but gradually. I've tried re-adjusting contrast, brightness, sharpness" with no change.

My old Heathkit was adjustable by loosening a stainless steel "pipe" clamp ring at the back of the tube and moving the yoke in and out to fit the screen, or tilting it to center the picture. This Toshiba's yoke seems to be cemented to the glass neck of the tube.
