Sony Bravia KDL-46W3000 3 blinks

Hi everyone. Looking for a confirmation or a different solution. Picked-up a Sony KDL-46W3000 that had the 3 blink error going on. It will turn on, just the green power indicator with no activity from the relay, then go to stand-by and blink 3 times. Looked the code up to find "power board error". So I order one from Shop Jimmy and put it in and the relay lit-up and then failed (assuming the GF1 board I ordered was defective). Put the old GF1 board back in and it is back to the 3 blinks. Any suggestions? Do you think maybe the new board damaged the set more than it was? Paid $20 for the set. Larry, if you are reading this, I would appreciate your input.
