Mitsubishi WD-57732 Power on Issue

Hello, I have a Mitsubishi WD-57732 that all of a sudden has the blinking green light problem after cleaning the mirror. I have taken apart the set and have inspected the power board and Dm board. I can't seam to find any faulty capacitors on those boards. When I run the error code check it gives me error code 59. Error Code 59 according to the service manual is a DM short, and I can't find any reference to troubleshoot this. Does anyone know what would cause this? The problem only started after removing the front screen to clean the mirror. Thanks and any help is appreciated.

Chances are the DM caps have

Chances are the DM caps have failed unplugging the set to remove screen allows the caps to drain down and then they cannot recharge when the power is restored. Visual inspection will only spot bad caps if they are starting to vent and puff up on the top, But I have seen many caps in those models that look fine but a ESR meter quickly ids them to be bad. I would try replacing the DM and Power boards caps.

Thanks for your reply. The

Thanks for your reply. The caps were my first guess, however this tv had been in my basement storage for about a year. I had pulled it out of the storage turned it on, and it worked perfect, but i noticed the picture wasn't too crisp, so i decided to clean the mirror. The caps had been drained for about a year before i plugged it in. would you still presume it to be the caps? have you ever seen an error code 59?

I always suspect all caps

I always suspect all caps 1000UF and above and ESR is the quickest way to spot them in circuit. But without the ESR meter its usually best to replace them.
