Sony kp51ws510 convergence issue

Hey all. I've been on this site before to fix a tv i use to have and this was a very helpful place. Well i'm back with another tv of course its a sony i bought from someone who was goin to throw this away and it has the same problem as the one i repaired before so i wanted to tackle this one too. Just had a few questions regarding my issue if one of the techs could help me out. I took the D board out of this tv and went through and check the fuses and all were good also checked the two on the G board and those 2 were good. I am pretty positive that the STKs are bad but wanted to know if its possible that there the only things that went bad and no fuses or am i wandering away from my problem. The tv i had before was a kp46wt510 i think and the stks were bad and i think just one of the fuses and this tv i have now is having pretty much the same issue with the double image and i figure there the same problems with the stks but i wanted to verify that the STKs can be bad without a fuse being bad. If someone could help i would gladly appreciate it. Otherwise i am going to go ahead and order these STK chips and commence to soldering and hope there is no other problems that would cause the new chips to take a crap right away. Hope to here from someone soon. Thanks

You will want to check the

You will want to check the resistors that are lined up beside the IC's and make sure they are within tolerance, and make sure none are burned. You will also want to check the pico fuses if its equipped I dont recall if this model does or not but this is what they may look like http://www.google.com/search?um=1&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Searc...
If you get THIS KIT ,which is the exact one you need it will come with instructions and all parts necessary to repair it,even the resistors and pico fuses, the instructions are a little more in depth on testing the components.
