There is a list of samsung models a mile long that have bad caps on the SMPS board,if its still under warranty call Samsung. If its not,you should still call samsung{if nothing else just to COMPLAIN}alot of times they will send a tech out and if its the caps they will fix it for free, due to the high volume of complaints about this problem,if its not the caps they will charge you for the service call and for fixing it.Check the SMPS board for swollen caps. You may also try disconnecting the T-con board and try turning it on to see if the backlight comes on.Have you checked for stand by A5 voltage on connection 1002?
