I Have a Mitsubishi WS48311 that now has no picture.
2 Years ago I had a problem where the picture was intermittent. I took it apart and noticed alot of bad solder joints, so I reflowed the power board and the main board and it worked great for 2 years.
Last week I noticed the volume would start going to max on it's own, then the front panel buttons stopped working, but the remote worked fine. A few days later I noticed the picture started flickering again, so I took the set apart again and reflowed the power and main board. I put it back together and it would turn on for 2-3 seconds then shut off. I checked the diagnostics code and it came up with 2 -1. I checked the wiring and found that I mistakenly pugged the PM plug into the DT connector.
I fixed the connections, and now the set comes on, but no picture. I tried pressing the menu and input buttons and not get error code 1 - 2 which means no error detected. I tried pressing the menu button on the remote, but no menu. I can toggle through the inputs and turn the volume up. All I here however is static (probably no channels tuned in). I have checked the pico fuses, they all appear to be ok. I don't think the CRTs are getting any power, as I don't see any glow from them, nor do I hear any hum or hi voltage static.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've checked the output of the Power Supply at the diodes based on the service manual block diagram for the following voltages and all looked good.
I noticed that there is a test point labeled TP5H2 that has a label near it of 208V, but measuring at the test point only shows approx. 55V. Does anybody know if this test point should be 208V?
I am thinking maybe there is a regulator between the 208V diode output and the test point, and perhaps the regulator may be bad. Does anyone have a schematic available?
Does anyone know what the 208V drives?
The block diagram shows the CRT FIL SOURCE and the FBT being driven from 110V
Again, any help would be appreciated.
