Techwood ddr4A stereo receiver

My husband and I was setting up the stereo system and he tossed the speaker wire over to the other side of the room. It accidently landed on one of the outlets. See the lamp's plug was not all the way in the socket. So it made a popping sound and next thing we know is the receiver started to smoke.  Now the receiver says protection and turns off. I took it apart and found a fuse was blown and I replaced it. Does anyone know how to turn off the protection mode?
