Mitsubishi ws-55613

Hi guys, firly new here, and hope you all can help.

I went through several forums, and took my best guess at resolving the problem, and getting nowhere.

So here goes...

I aquired the 55613 a few days ago, with the understanding that it was having some "computer issues". I did a little searching and found that this model has common issues with the DM caps, and convergence chips. The bright side is that the convergence chips are not the problem, in fact the picture is flat out amazing! But after 5 minutes or so the TV would not accept any input. The tv was still on, and the on screen menu work, just no signal from the back panel.

I removed the back panel and found a few things, most importantly, I am not the only one who has been in this TV, and those who came before me were not very good about cleaning up if you will. There was a surface cap on the DVI card that was broke off. The cap was still good, so I soldered some short leads on there and back on to the board. That solved an isse with the way the computer was registering the TV... or at least solved the computer locking up.

Then I pulled out the Dm board and replaced all four caps that were known to be a problem. 2 of them resulted in a short when you tested with an ohm meter btw.  At this point, I can turn it on, and use it for anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes before I loose a signal again, and I am stumped. I understand there is a 9V regulator in front of the connection panel that has known problems, but the reports I see seem to say it causes intereference type results. Could this be what is causing the problem?

If not, do any of you know what could be doing this?

I noticed there were a few people here well versed in these TV's, I do hope you can help. Thank you all in advance. Your help will be appreciated.
