Is my Sony KDS-R60XBR2 Really Ready for the Dump?

WorldWide Tech Services told me it was, and that the next stop is the land-fill.  My TV is 2 1/2 years old and off warranty.  The problem is that after running for about 10 minutes the colors start to change and then the set shuts itself off and has a 9 blink error code.  I called Sony Tech Support and they told me to call WorldWide Tech to fix it.  The first visit they confirmed it didn't work.  On the second visit they replaced the color block, and that didn't fix it.  On the third visit they replaced a $500 circut board they said controls the color block and that didn't fix it.  On the fourth visit they replaced the QM board, S1 PWB, S2 PWB, and a 20 pin cable.  That didn't fix it.  They then said it couldn't be fixed, so I am stuck with hauling it to the dump.  I paid $3600 for the TV and Sony stand and it didn't even last 3 years!  That is more than $1200 a year to watch TV.   Any other advice would be Greatly appreciated!
