I was recently given this Mitsubishi WD 52725. The origional owner has fixed all the problems that this particular TV had with the "Green light of death" etc. He moved recently and his friends skinned the power cord to the TV. I don't know if the TV was plugged in at the time, or if it was plugged in before the cord was repaired.
I repaired the power cord and the TV will not power on. The fan on the top of the chassis will start and then keep trying to come on. There is a large transformer on the center left of the power board that is crackling/buzzing. Can anyone give me an idea of what might be the problem? The TV was working untill this accident.
