I have been given a Sony KP-51WS500, was told a "Possible blown fuse". Well, it's deeper than that. When I plug into an outlet I hear CLICK-CLICK immediately followed by a CLICK-CLICK. The Timmer/standby light blinks SIX times repeatedly. I have no Owners Manual for this unit and at this time am totally clueless as to the problem. I sure could use a proffesional opinion. PLEASE, anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance for all your help.

IMO these can be a money pit, but there are a few cheap things you can try.
Start by searching this forum for posts on KP-51WS500 (ra-6 chassis), for others repair experiences, then get the repair manual from the resources section.
Read up how to pull the chassis and safety precautions.
Inspect all solder joints with a magnifier and resolder the cracked ones, resolder the flyback and nearby HOT,transformer and coil, look for burned resistors, test HOT for shorts, reassemble.
If you are lucky it might be ok, or show that convergence ic's are needed.
