I have a WS-48511 that has the same problem as everyone else. I think my TV took a power hit after a power outage and now only knows how to blink. I have tried the reset, the front panel controls and the remote all to no avail. Some of you have used Larry Dillon's four capacitor fix on the DM board to some success. I do not know if this is the right fix for my problem, but I can replace thru hole components if that is all it takes. My problem is identifying the PCB. The main board is clearly marked, but the other PCBs have words like JUNGLE, HP, DBF markings on them. If anyone out there knows what I need to do to get this puppy up and running I would appreciate the help.
I now have the DM board out and have checked the 2A and 4A fuses which show continuity so they should be okay. None of the electrolitics look as if they have been compromised. What next?
