Sony KP-43HT20: Can't Read On-Screen Menu! Need Help

I have a Sony KP-43HT20 reap projection TV with the RA-6 chassis.  The on-screen menu has become unreadable.  The normally green characters on the video, audio, channel, parental and timer menus are dark and barely visible.  Any ideas how to tackle this problem?  Thanks.
