This TV has developed an intermittent fault.
The set is switched on and functions ok for a varying period, but then loses the program. The sound and picture vanish and the screen then shows a light snow effect. Just before the picture and sound go, the screen may go blue, infrequently yellow. The sound may hiss depending on the level it was previously set.
The red LCD near the on/off switch dims and the set will not respond to the handset. The red LCD on the left hand side of the TV which shows "stereo effect" remains at its normal brightness.
The set may then recover by itself. If not, switching it off and then on, will usually resolve the problem. However, the set may then lose picture and sound as before.
Sometimes switching from the SCART input to one of the 2 aerial socjkets will correct the problem, but not permanently.
