I have a Mitsu Medallion WS-65615 that has a video problem. I inherited this TV and hope to fix it myself with a little help from you guys. I hooked a DVD player up to it (the only input) and can get sound but no picture. I can get the TV and Device Menu's, but no video input. Just a blue screen.
I triple checked to make sure the connections were tight and in the right spots. I was told by the previous owners that one day it just stopped working and they tried to hook everything back up in many different ways but nothing worked. I have gone through the owners manual and service manual and really don't know what to look for. Could this be a convergence issue? I have seen a common problem in forums about leaky tubes that short out Convergence IC's. Could this be the problem or am I looking at something more.
I have not opened it up yet. I plan on it tonight, just want to try and limit my goose chase.
