I have a KV30HS420. Its blinking 3 quick blinks. I believe this means an Overvoltage on the DZ board at IC6505. Is this true and how do I troubleshoot/repair this? Thanks.
I know how to read a multimeter and I do have one. I jsut have not gotten to component level work in about 12 years, since I graduate with an electronics degree from vocational school. I'm trying to get into fixing up tv's to support my family and have a real good understanding of the basics. Where I'm at, is I read that I need to check T603 and R672. I'm assuming T=Transsitor and R=Resistor. Well I know to measure Ohms on a resistor, but I forget how to check a Transsitor and how I know what values to verify. Does this sound correct?
Seriously. I would like to fix this as a christmas gift. If someone could perhaps point me in teh direction of what to test or where to find the test points. The service manual doesn't seem to tell me anything.
