My Mitsu WS 55813 has contracted the deadly Blinking Green Light disease after a power outage. I was able to reset before but not this time. I have read numerous messages on this condition and would like to get any info on how to repair the board that contains the light and reset switch (I have already removed the board) including the replacement part #'s and where to get them.
Thanks in advance.

Jim, I had the same blinking light last week and read this forum and others to learn how to replace the four caps on the DM board. I have read different responses on where to get the caps from your local electronic specialty store to tvrepairkits.com. I received the four caps from tvrepairkit.com in about 5 days. Other sites I tried were backordered. You will need a desolder tool and soldering tool, rosin solder and a mangifying glass is helpful. I had my caps installed in about 1 hour but the green blinking light did not go off. The kit also came with two pico fuses that are small rectangular parts about 1/8 in long by 1/6th that are soldered near the caps. MAKE SURE you put the caps in the same way you took them out by honoring polarity. I accidentally put one in backwards and blew one of the pico fuses. There are three of these pico fuses near the caps you replace. I must have blown the third fuse but since I only had two to replace of course the one I did not replace was blown. I am only mentioning this because I made a mistake as a lay person trying to repair my own board. Make sure you get the 1000, 35v 105 caps. They are only about $1 each then add shipping of about $8 unless you get them at a store nearby.
Desolder the four caps, replace them with the new ones, reinstall the DM, plug in the TV and the green light WILL FLASH for about 70 seconds then should go out. Turn the TV on and it should work. If it doesn't check the fuses with a multimeter. You may also have inadvertently toouched another soldering point or dropped solder on the board causing other soldering points to bridge that cause problems too. Your model is different from mine but since yours is 55813 and mine is the 65813 then we may have the TV but different screen sizes. The concept to replace the fuses is the same. If you have 7 caps you will need to replace all 7. Also, replace the DM without he metal cover to make sure it works. Then install the metal cover. Good luck and hope it works. There are other forum sites that explain this problem with photos that I read. I will try to find them and send them to you or post them in another message.
