I own a Diamond Mitsubishi 65711 that has had and IC problem in the past. Was fixed about 11 months ago, but now has a different problem that has appeared. Of course its out of warranty now so I am hoping its something I can fix myself.
Basicly the top inch or 2 of the screen starts to distort. Then three small lines (red, blue, and green) appear across the top horrizontally. Eventually the top 2 or 3 inches go black. It will intermintently pop back into normal mode but will change back quickly.
One note, we went on vacation a couple of weeks ago for two weeks. When we got back the tv work perfectly for two days then started to do the same thing again after heavy use. Not sure but seems like it could be a cold solder somewhere.

Does this sound like it's the ic boards again or something else. When I open up the tv, what should I be looking for?
