I have a Mitsubishi 62" dlp tv model WD-62525. A couple of days ago, I was watching tv, and the picture started flaking out. I would get staticy lines through the picture frequently, then the picture would go away completely, then come back. This was happeng about every 10 seconds, then got worse. Then no picture at all.
I unplugged the tv for a day, and tried again. Now I get pictue that rolls bottom to top at a rate of about 3 seconds, and the sync is messed up. The picture is diagonal (bottom left to top right). When I turn on my JVC dvd player, I can read the JVC logo, but have to look hard. All the menus (DEVICE menu, etc) are clear as a bell.
I have had two bulbs replaced in the set since I bought it, and really don't want to pump all kinds of money into this thing. I Have worked for TWA and American Airlines for 32 years and have some electronic experience, but am by no means and expert. I have numerous co-workers that ar highly skilled avionics experts, and say that they may be able to find the problem if I had the schematics.
I have looked up some of the repair shops in my area, but have mixed feelings about them. Some people say they have had good luck with them and others say that they have had nightmare experiences with them?
I had purchased a Mitsubishi 45" rear projection tv in the solid wood cabinet years ago, and had nothing but trouble with it. I swore I would never buy another Mitsubishi product, but I did. Now I have another set that I have had the lamp replaced in and had to have cleaned due to the picture getting darker. Now this.
If anyone might have an idea as to what the problem might be or might have schematics for this model, I would GREATLY appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks MUCH in advance.... Larry
