is distorted, the 2 colors aren't aligned and when I go to adjust convergence on the menu, it's not there. It was the #6 option on the screen menu which now goes to 5.
From the beginning, I pushed the wrong button on the remote and shut the TV off. I then pushed the power on button to restart the TV and it wouldn't turn on. I looked in the back and there was a 5A 120V fuse that was blown. I replaced the fuse and the set turned on right away, when I looked from behind to chek the picture, it's a mess. Of course from there I went to the scree menu to adjust the convergence and like I said earlier, it's not in the menu anymore.
Any help would be apprecuated, thanks!!
When I posted on the other thread I didn't bother to look at the model number, I was so excited that I thought I found some help!
I'm hoping that the fix for mine is not very difficult, I can solder in a new component if I have to>
I entered the service mode on my set by pushing and holding menu down on the front of the set, while holding menu down I pushed power and then vol+, now I'm in the service mode. A data sheet tells me to go to 76 in the right hand column and then push menu, this should access the alignment and display error codes. I go to 76 and push menu, nothing happens.
It doesn't surprise me since #6 on the screen menu is gone and that's where the convergence alignment is accessed. I would suspect that both of these problems are related, any advice or comments would be appreciated!
Okay, this is where I'm at, I believe the problem is in the pwoer convergence module. I checked a couple of resistors that are okay and from the research I've done, the next step is to change the IC on that module.

I have repaired my TV and all is well for $11.00, took an entire day to get the part and about 15 minutes to install it, up and running like new!!

Not only is my set working like new, in the screen menu, adjust convergence has returned.
Nothing like watching the big screen again..............
