We moved to Australia from the US and brought our Sony Trinitron (KV-36XBR800) TV with us. Yes, we had to buy an expensive electricity converter to get the 120v power, but figured that the Foxtel cable unit would work OK. It doesnt. The color is now gray with some hues of blue, and the picture flickers. I have called Foxtel for help and they said that the settings on the TV are wrong. We then bought a plasma locally and it works fine.
I would like to figure out the adjustment on the Sony so we have a second TV. Any ideas?
