I'm a technical support agent who troubleshoots various electronic devices in a call center. The other day, a customer calls in reporting that after going through the auto scan feature of the TV, the set picks up only the analog channels but, not the digital ones. Customer is using cable service without a cable box. We accessed the Menu options of the TV and selected Auto Scan again, CATV option, and then the option to Scan for Channels. The same thing happens. Only the analog channels are detected by the set. Why does this happen? Does anyone know? Sure would appreciate anyone's suggestion.
