i have a red shadow sony kp53s70 on all images,first i thought i had a ic problem looked like 3d shadow of all colors,replaced ics straightened out bend in pic and bllue and green colors but not red!
rechecked solder connections with dvom could not find a problem?
tryed setting convergence did not seem to work could get red to move but not far enough????
if you cover the red crt the pic looks good except being a little mono
the red crt lights up
is there a manual adjustment on the crts or a way to check output?
any body want to buy a tv!!!!!!!!!
Did you check all the resistors around the ic's you replaced, the bad ic all burn out some resistors and you need to replace them or you won't be able to adjust the convergence correctly,also you may have distroyed the new ic by running it with the burnt resistors, very common. There is a manual adjustment on the red crt but this should not need to be touched!
yes checked resistors a couple of times,checked fuses done a lot of research on this on this board and internet knew what repair intaled but cant spend 3 months wanting for a little help,seems like people are downloading the manual for free but no help
