Evening all,
Very informative site. This tv was working fine until we had a power outage, now the green timer light flashes for 45 seconds and then is off for 45 seconds and I can hear something "click". The tv will not turn on. I've read about "flash codes" but have been unable to access them. I've been reading about the green light flashing constantly but haven't read anything about the light cycling. Will the cycling problem be fixed with the replacement of the caps? Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chad [email protected]
I have a copy of the service manual for this unit if anyone needs it. I disassembled the tv and none of the cap tops look "bulged". I checked all the fuses with a multimeter and all show low resistance.
Any and all help appreciated
Thanks,
Chad
If it were my set I would go ahead and replace the caps, just based on their record. They might look ok but still fail under load, and if you do it yourself it is only a couple of bucks.

Evening Tom,
Thanks for the reply. I would like to replace the caps but my DM board looks totally different from any of the boards I have seen in any other posts. Can someone lead me to the suspected caps? I would hate to replace all of them!
Thanks,
Chad
I replaced the three Jamicon caps on my DM board and put it all back together. Same blinking green light. I have looked at the other boards and found some more Jamicon caps. They all appear ok, not that, that means anything. Did you ever get your set working?
