mitsubishi projection television flashing green light

to larry dillon,  i have read several of the questions posted regarding the flashing grn light on many of the mitsubishi tv's. I have model # ws 55813 which was purchased in 2004.  my first question: the repair you suggest after checking the fuses is to replace the convergence board if the fuse is blown.  are these steps something a person w/ no electronics background is able to do?  2nd question: can this problem be traced back to any one defective part that mitsubishi could be held responsible for?  and my last request,  if this repair can be made could you please send me a repair book.  thank you
