26LG30 - cannot use as PC monitor

Greetings Everyone!  A pleasure to find this forum!!  Laughing

I have a 26LG30 -the one without the DVD player-.  I am unable to get a clear and crisp picture when I connect it to my PC for some reason...   S-video was very poor quality. Terrible in fact (font unreadable, etc).
I also tried the RGB slot (the catch is that my video card GeForce 8800 GT only has DVI plugs and I used a "converter" piece DVI-to-RGB on the tower).  It boots up fine... I see the spalsh screen. But it disappears before the windows login screen and the 26LG30 says "Invalid Input".  Is this because of the converter  DVI-to-RGB piece???  it makes no sense since I can view the initial splash screen....  Cry

As far as use, I want to be able to be able to watch my streamed netflix (which it actually did via S-video just fine), and play my video games (that's the catch!).  World of Warcraft looked TERRIBLE, as did my other games.  All in all, I'm gnashing my teeth.... any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Alrite i have the same tv when i connect it to my computer using the Vga the best resolution i can get is 1366 x 768 which is even worse than my old 19 inch acer monitor! im using an ati 4850 and the picture is fairly clear although the font is almost unreadable. ANy one know any way to increase resolution?

Heyas Nick~ I just found

Heyas Nick~ I just found something out today... it has to do with the DVI / RGB feed.

A co-worker told me to buy a DVI-to-HDMI cable. I looked on newegg.com and they are running like $10 :) I've ordered mine and I hope to have fab results soon.
