This set plays for about six hours fine, and then it shuts down. If you turn it back on, it will play for about five minutes and shut down again. I don't see any reason why it should shutdown.
I turned down the B+ and the screen control as much as I could but it still does the same thing.
Has anyone seen this problem before?
I have the print.

You want to check the caps in the horizontal section and the power supply first . You could have a faulty b+ regulator as well . If you can check the caps with ESR meter that would be your best bet . Also you'll want to readjust the B+ and the screen after finding your fault to maintain your stable voltages in youe set . James
B+ seems clean and stable. I lifted the x-ray shutdown line, and the set still shut down, then I lifted the other high voltage shutdown line it is called Eo Leak, Lifted the collector of Q401 current detector and the set does not shut down now. Maybe this transistor is leaky, I will change it tomorrow, or maybe one of the caps or zener in this circuit is bad. I am getting close. I will readjust the B+ and the screen as you say.
