I have a SAMSUNG PTV MODEL PTH-5498 original problem convergence (red) replaced both, also replaced pico fuses. set came up fine, i checked + and - supply voltages to convergence ic`s (ok).
let play several hours, turned off, would not come back on, red timer light "on" constant. unplugged
removed chassis checked for fluid leakage signs, replaced worked fine several hours, next am dead agasin timer light on, no pwr supply voltages at all. only 5v std (stby voltage)this cycle continued now unit off and will not come back on at all. only voltages present 5v stby. Has anyone seen this prob. does anyone know how to defeat the " protect" on this set I do have schematic diagram could use the owners manual if available would appreciate any suggestions.
