Has anyone seen a problem with the Mitsubishi WS-55711 projection TV with the Tuner locking up ?? The main tuner on the TV is frozen, cannot change channels. Some of the other inputs intermittently work (Inputs 1-4). If they work, later the picture will go blank and the net command also will not re-appear, you must move through the prompts with no video to get back to the working inputs. We are using the TV with a HD TIVO connected to the HD inputs (works great all the time here) We also can watch our cable box on the the YprPb High Res. Inputs with no problems. The problem is the Main Tuner and the low-resolution inputs. Tried the normal reset and unplugging for a while. Is there a better hard reset? Any other suggestions ?? I have a electronics background… Can someone send me the V-21 Tech Service Manual, the link on Tech Corner is only downloading the 1st page. Thanks for any suggestions, Joe
One possible thing is to check and see if one of the picture tubes leaked onto the signal module . If it did see if you can dry it off and check your inputs and tuner . Also i have seen one of surface mount IC's go bad causing what you describe. Had to send it to PTS Corp for rebuilding . Wasn't the exact same model # but it was a mitsubishi. Check with PTS Corp on the web for exchange or rebuilding price if you can't find your problem . James
