I own a two year old sony 57ws655 tv that is blinking 9 blinks on the standby light. After reading on other forums about same problems the repair was to replace D6116 and D6301 diode on the G board. I ordered and received the diodes from partstore.com. I have removed the G board and can locate D6301 diode but can't find D6116. What the sent me looks like a 1/8 by 1/8 piece of plastic. It has no wires on it to solder to the board. am I missing something or did they send me the wrong part.
I also have the same tv and mine is about 3 years old with the same problem, I had it fixed once and plan to do the repair myself this time, the D6116 is a micro diode and is located on the bottom side of the board, there should be a solder leg on each end of the diode(very small) but you must be careful not to over heat it when soldering to the board it is a surface mount.
