Mitsubishi ws-65513 blue screen and/or horizonal &vertical crazy

When watching my tv on satellite after a few minutes I hear a "pop" and the screen goes to blue. If I switch to (or am watching instead of my dish) regular antenna dtv the picture is there but the horizonal & vertical both run at the same time and there is no audio except a steady "whistle" "errrr" kind of sound. Also the menu selection is on the screen as it is whizzing by.

We have already fixed the "dreaded flashing green light several months ago - thanks to you" so this seems to be our next big problem. We are wondering if it could be the 9 volt regulator Ref# IC9C25 (we believe) and if that is the case do you have a suggestion as to where we should purchase this and what the ordering part number would be?

If you have any ideas or suggestions we would sure appreciate it!

thanks in advance,

Hi NexusX,

Hi NexusX,

Yes, we removed the panel that the 9V regulator is on and purchased a new regulator and took it to a local tv repairman and he installed the new regulator. We purchased the part online from Audio Lab of Georgia for 1.75 (shipping was 5-8.00 don't remember for sure but it was worth it because it only took a couple of days to get it) the tv guy was only going to charge 10.00 because it only took him a few minutes - I gave him a 20.00 because he DID do it so quick! the link to Audio Lab is below. GREAT fix for apx 30.00 total!!Sure hope this works for you as well as it did for me :0)

I have da same problem where

I have da same problem where da image on my Mitsubishi WS-65513 moves horizontal really fast. I'll unplug it @ nite & in da morning i'll plug it back in, turn it on & it'll work fine. BUT when I decide 2 change da channel or source, dat is when da tv starts 2 run sideways really fast. Then it just wont show an image 4 da rest of da day. SO i'll unplug it & have 2 wait til da next morning. Now I'll just turn it on & leave it on da same channel all day just so dat it stays on. I have 2 use an external tuner so that I can channel surf. But i have 2 leave it on da same source all day. If someone can help me 2 find out what's wrong w/ it & how 2 fix it, I would greatly appreciate it. FYI: I'm tryin 2 fix it w/out havin 2 spend allot on it. Even if it means i have 2 go 2 RadioShack. I know dat there is 3 repair kits 4 it 4 around $30 2 $70 but as of now I still dont know which one 2 order or if it's even needed. I also know dat da tv is on a thin line & ready 2 go & I dont want anything else 2 burn out as a reslut of da way it is now. Laryy Dillan (R.I.P.) was also helping out allot from what I read. I downloaded da service manual so far but i dont know where 2 go from there. I hope that someone can help me out b/c it's 2 nice of a tv just 2 throw it away. I also have done a little soldering in my time (@ home). Any suggestions? My e-mail is kkruzito2011 @ yahoo .com (or) josecruzperezjr @ yahoo .com Thank u guys very much!
