Originally, I had a convergence problem with red on the bottom and top. I recently replace the STK392-120 ICs and the convergence was nearly aligned. As I was fine tuning the level of intesity on the 3 colors I noticed the 3 colors stop showing a picture. All the CRTs are on, but no piture in any input. Do you thing the 2 ICs I just replaced went bad, or do I have another problem?
Which controls were you adjusting ? - where were you "fine tuning the level of intesity on the 3 colors" ?
The black box behind the CRTs have 6 adjustment knobs. The 3 bottom are for the focus (red green blue) and the 3 top are for the screen (red green blue). I tried to adjust the screen to give the colors equal intensity. They still work, but no graphics on screen.
Hopefully you just have a dislodged connector/cable issue somewhere.
Do you get any OSD from the status or menu or av/source/input ... remote buttons.

I don't get OSD from the status or menu either.
The ICs could fail quickly especially if no heat sink compound is used.
Try turning the blue screen voltage down and triple checking all wire, ribbon and daughterboard connections.
Cycle through all the inputs using the front panel source button.
I used generic heatsink compound. I checked all cables and wires, no problem found. I ordered another pair of ICs. A pair of STK392-150 instead of the STK392-120. I heard that this might make a difference in the lifespand of the ICs. It should be in the mail today or tomorrow.
No joy with the replacement ICs. Even more problems with the 150 ICs. Red, Green, and Blue CRTs comes on with no display. But after 10 seconds, tv auto turns off with the power button flashes. I think it's time to throw in the towel and invest in a 50" LCD TV.
Bummer, I don't know if the 150's will work for 120's in a Philips.

You did meter all the return resistors while you were doing ic's?
And check solder joints not only on conv ic's and resistors, but flyback, hot and nearby transformer and coil.
I soldered the old ICs back in to achieved the original symptoms. No joy. The TV automatic cuts off after 10-15 seconds. And still no video during that time. I do not know how to tell if I have a good flyback or not. I checked all transformers and they ohm out good with no openings windings or shorted pri to sec windings.
I have the same issue but in red on my Philips TV. It bows at the top and the bottom. How can I fix it? I have turned the red all the way down so it is watchable but would like to fix it.
I am have the same issue with the red. It bows at the top and bottom what should i do?
Just verify the solder on the flyback and transformer.
Your problem started while adjusting screen RGB.
What model Philips do you have?
Possibly convergance ic's and a few related resistors.
If you search this site for your model number there may be some related threads.
I having double vision at the top and bottom of my TV. What can i do to fix this problem before i get it service at a shop?

FYI: Hey people make sure you do a contunity check from pcb to the pins on the STK'S. Many times if you do not use a temperture controled iron the path on the pcb will break. (Fracture path, very small) I had a similiar issue way back, My crt's lit up but no video nor menu display.

I have a Phillips HDTV model 60PP9202/17F The picture is curved & color looks
3D red & green. I have tried tunning the picture & color nothing works. Can you help me?
When I changed out my STK392-120 ICs, the curveness and the misalignment went away. A few months later, it happened again. I probpably applied too much heat on the ICs. Try this site http://www.bluestar-online.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=STK392%2D1.... The are $8.00 a piece.
You get what you pay for....QC rejected or fake chips is what you get for 8$. Good luck proving the chip was bad to claim the warranty.
