I have read the other forums on convergence repairs so I dont neseccarily need specific help on that since there is plenty of information. My question is which one of these problems is mine, convergence or bulb. The tv turns on fine, all the bulbs light however, the green does not converge. In the grid mode under PJE (I got that from another forum thanks for that!!) you can see the upper left corner starts a wave of green and also flickers a little. the green pretty much doesn't line up anywhere except the upper right hand corner where the wave stops and it all converges again. Can the IC's do that with specific colors? or is this more likely a bulb problem? the IC's are STK392-560 if that helps diagnose the problem. IF anyone has any suggestions to where to find the CRT bulbs for this TV that would also be greatly appreciated. Oh and the repair manual email going around. Larry, I think I saw you might have an electronic copy?? Thanks for you help in advance.
You have a convergence problem not a CRT problem all 3 colors RED GREEN BLUE Convergence is controlled and alined by the 2 stk's replace them with STK392-570
